It's easy to take the little things for granted, but if you just notice them, they'll open up your mind to new possibilities. I just started using the Apple Magic Trackpad, and it's just a little joy at my fingertips. What little source of joy are you ignoring?

What are the little things in your business? What is the most annoying, but potentially important task that you have to do on a regular basis? What are the little things for your employees? How can you take those small things, infuse them with vision, and remind yourself that doing them is an important part of the mission?

by Al Ries and Jack Trout. Only rated three stars because so much here is now 'common knowledge' in marketing. Still, one of the best marketing books of the last century and essential reading if you're new to the field. Plus, a fun, quick read. (****)
