After getting an MBA in Marketing for Columbia University, I went to work on the advertising account for Compaq Computers. I discovered that more than marketing technology, I loved using technology to do marketing. I've worked at many companies of many different sizes but always done my best work when I could manage a customer database. I worked at Service Corporation International, where we found that people who buy prearranged funerals aren't thinking about dying, they're thinking about getting control of their future and they have lots of plans, and want to buy many more things. While working for Griffing & Company accounting, I discovered their accountants were loved by the customers for reasons that totally surprised the accountants. I've come to believe there is no business that can't benefit by digging deeper into its customer relationships.
I enjoy learning and collecting data about customers and then helping the sales force use that data to drive profits. While working on lead generation at my current job, I'm also developing a customer loyalty program for my alumni club. I look forward to working on bigger and better databases.
