Our Purpose

Creative Houston promotes the creative capital and innovation habitat of the Houston metropolitan area. We cultivate the growth of ideas, experimentation and innovation in Houston by promoting awareness and collaboration in the creative industries, both non-profit and for-profit. These industries include, but are not limited to, architecture, design, music, the visual arts, the performing arts, advertising, film and video, broadcasting, and publishing. To foster Houston's ability to compete as an internationally recognized hotbed of talent and creative enterprises, we advocate more community planning and development, diversity, sustainability, tolerance, green spaces, access to education and economic incentives.
